Brian L. Hightower named 2011 CHTP of the Year at Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP)
In its 14th year, the CHTP of the Year honors the individual that scored the highest on the CHTP certification exam in a given year. Hightower is a systems administrator for Fisher Island Club, a private island residential community and exclusive club off Miami Beach, Fla. He began working at Fisher Island in 1999 in the hotel front office. In 2001 he transferred into IT, when the IT director noticed he had an aptitude for computer systems. Hightower currently manages the club and property management systems, point-of-sale and virtual infrastructure.
