Chris AndersonAnderson joined Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 2007 as vice president, sales. He was promoted to vice president, sales, marketing and revenue strategy in 2009. In this position, his responsibilities included establishing corporate revenue strategy and marketing teams focused on developing growth strategies that maximized all revenue channels, establishing a regional call center and developing overall brand strategies for the company’s hotels, restaurants, spas, golf courses and snow sports. Prior to joining Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Anderson spent 16 years with Marriott International. Most recently, he led the sales and marketing efforts at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, the largest hotel in Georgia. Some of his achievements included managing all aspects of the sales team for the 1,675 room convention hotel, managing the e-commerce, marketing communications and public relations teams, and executing a re-branding plan alongside a $138 million dollar renovation of the hotel. He began his career at Marriott’s Tan-Tar-A resort in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, in 1993, working in convention service and sales. He later became a director of national accounts and director of sales for the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina in Tampa, Florida.
