Ferdinand Trinidad has been appointed Vice President, Pre-Opening at Onyx Hospitality Group
ONYX Hospitality Group recently announced the appointment of Ferdinand Trinidad to the newly created role of Vice President, Pre-Opening to oversee operations during the pre-opening phases of properties within ONYX portfolio of hotel brands. A native of the Philippines, Ferdinand started his hospitality career at the Hyatt Regency Manila. Over the course of 20 years, Ferdinand has acquired extensive hospitality experiences in numerous operational roles with several renowned hotel groups in Asia including Shangri-La, The Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. In 2004, Ferdinand moved to Thailand to join Minor Hotel Group Ltd as Resident Manager and then Pre-Opening General Manager for Minor’s Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas. He was then appointed to the corporate role of Group Director of Technical Service and later, Group Director of Hotel Openings & Operation Support. During his tenure, Ferdinand created standard technical service manuals and pre-opening and re-branding manuals for the group.
