Andrew SwindellsFour-star hotel chain Park Plaza Hotels has appointed the manager of one of its flagship hotels as its new chief operating officer. Andrew Swindells joined the company in 2008 as general manager of the £350 million new Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London, which launched under his leadership. Prior to joining Park Plaza, Swindells worked at Hilton International for 25 years in several management positions. He will be replaced in the Westminster Bridge role by Daniel Pedreschi, who ran day-to-day operations at the hotel. In the new role Swindells will serve on the group’s executive committee, reporting directly to Boris Ivesha, Park Plaza’s president and chief executive officer.
