Andrew PaceAtlanta-based Hotel Equities (www.hotelequities.com) recently promoted Andrew Pace to the position of Vice President of Development. He reports directly to Hotel Equities President & CEO Fred Cerrone and sits as a member of the Hotel Equities Strategic Alliance Leadership Team, the executive committee responsible for casting the company vision and orchestrating its growth. Mr. Pace joined Hotel Equities, a hotel development and management firm, in 2007 as Director of Acquisitions & Construction. During the past four years, he has helped the company grow from 19 to over 50 hotels in the HE portfolio, primarily located in the southeastern states. His focus and responsibilities include negotiation of management contracts, evaluation of the financial feasibility of multiple acquisition opportunities, administration of company-owned and JV partner new hotel development projects and the coordination of all court appointed receiver and bank REO assignments. Before the move to Hotel Equities, Mr. Pace served as President of Development & Acquisitions for Longhouse Hospitality, a wholly owned division of JER Partners. Unique to many hotel development professionals, Mr. Pace also has extensive operations experience having served as President of Park Management Group, an affiliate of Longhouse Hospitality. He was responsible for managing 600 employees, including a corporate staff of 22, for the privately-owned lodging chain of 48 company-owned and third-party managed hotels. Mr. Pace began his hospitality career as founder and president of SuiteOne Hotels, LLC where he developed and operated seven extended stay hotels in the Southeast. He serves on the Advisory Board for Georgia State University's Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality and is an executive officer of the State of Georgia following a Governor’s appointment in 1999 to the State Board of Architects and Interior Designers. A graduate of Georgia State University with a B.B.A. in Marketing, Mr. Pace holds an Executive MBA from Mercer University in Atlanta.
