David SheatsleyRenowned travel research and marketing expert David Sheatsley has been appointed Vice President of Research for MMGY Global. An industry veteran whose distinguished career spans nearly two decades, Sheatsley will spearhead the travel marketing firm’s research and insights discipline - widely acknowledged as the preeminent source of market intelligence on emerging business and leisure travel trends. Prior to joining MMGY Global, Sheatsley served as director of marketing research with the U.S. Travel Association, where he managed the nationally recognized travelhorizons (TM) program. Central to his role, Sheatsley facilitated the development and circulation of the quarterly survey, ensuring that members had access to key marketing insights concerning Americans’ travel intentions. Sheatsley began his career as the first research manager for the Virginia Tourism Corporation (formerly Virginia Division of Tourism) before advancing as Director of Advertising and Research. Following roles as Director of Consumer Research for the Supreme Court of Virginia and Planning Administrator for the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, he returned to the Virginia Tourism Corporation as Senior Vice President and COO.
