Dominic Purvis has been appointed director of sales and marketing of hotels and restaurants at Swire Hotels
Dominic Purvis, formerly general manager of marketing and communications for Swire Properties, has moved on to head up sales and marketing for its hotel arm. Purvis' new title is director of sales and marketing of hotels and restaurants at Swire Hotels, moving on from his former tenure of almost three years, when he was responsible for central marketing, communications and community engagement for Swire Properties. Before July 2009, Purvis served just over a year in the role of general manager of environmental affairs for Swire-owned Cathay Pacific. He will now lead the sales and marketing strategies for Swire's hotel brands in mainland China, Hong Kong and the UK, including The Opposite House, The Upper House, EAST, and Chapter Hotels. In October last year, Swire Hotels appointed Dean Winter to the newly created role of area general manager in Hong Kong, expanding his operational responsibility to include the lifestyle business hotel EAST whilst continuing in his role as general manager of The Upper House.
