Joanna Roterberg named General Manager at The House in St James
On Oct. 6, 2012, The House, one of Barbados' premier West Coast hotels, will unveil its new look following an extensive five-month refurbishment. The boutique, adults-only, 34-suite hotel will showcase contemporary interior designs, as well as fabulous new room décor complete with local handcrafted Bajan artwork. Before the reopening, Elegant Hotels Group announced the appointment of Joanna Roterberg as the new general manager of The House. With 16 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Joanna has gained an extensive understanding of the luxury hotel sector, having previously held a number of senior positions in exclusive hotels around Barbados, including Sandy Lane Hotel. Regarding her new role, Roterberg said, "I am really looking forward to my new position as GM of The House, especially at such an exciting time with the unveiling of the fabulous refurbishment. We have a busy time ahead of us and I will be working with the rest of the Elegant Hotels Group team in planning our strategy for the hotel following its refurbishment."
