Matthew Pickett has been appointed General Manager at Aqua Lotus Honolulu
With over 16 years of experience in Hawaii's hospitality industry, including Five Diamond service and a great record of improving revenue maximization and operational efficiency, Pickett recently guided the 51-room Aqua Lotus Honolulu through a successful $2.5 million room renovation and upgrade. His knowledge and experience in food and beverage is also great asset as the hotel will launch an exciting new full-service restaurant in 2013. A member of the Aqua ohana since 2010 where he was Resort Manager, then General Manager, for the oceanfront 350-room Kauai Beach Resort, Pickett previously spent five years with Halekulani and Waikiki Parc Hotels where he most recently was Food and Beverage Manager. He also held management positions at Hawaii Convention Center, Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort & Spa, Outrigger Hotels & Resorts and Grand Wailea Resort & Spa. Pickett has a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.
