Monti FelayaMonti Felaya’s 15-plus-years career in the food and beverage industry includes various positions at four- and five-star properties throughout the U.S. Prior to his appointment at Turnberry Isle Miami, Felaya served as Director of Food & Beverage for New York-New York Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, where he developed new restaurant concepts and ensured all staff understood the hotel’s service culture. As the Director of Restaurants Development at the Wente Estate Winery in Livermore, CA, Felaya implemented staff training guidelines for all service areas and developed a wine list that received recognition from the most-respected wine industry outlets. As Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and Restaurant Manager at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Felaya perfected his overall management skills and was responsible for the opening of restaurants, creating new menus and training new staff. Felaya was previously the Banquet Manager of the Rye Town Hilton in Rye Town, NY, and also an Assistant Banquet Manager at The Garden City Hotel on Long Island, NY. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from the College of Hotel and Tourism at Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt.
