Appointed General Manager of New Sundara Restaurant
At Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, Indonesia
Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay announces the appointment of Jan-Peer Lehfeldt as General Manager of Sundara Restaurant, the new beachfront showpiece that is making waves across Bali.
Jan-Peer was born in Hamburg, Germany, where his father and his family have been in the hotel business for more than 40 years. “The hotel industry flows through my blood,” he says.
But this hospitality specialist has spent most of his career in Asia. “My first visit was in 2000, the second was in 2002 and third was 2004 – all for holidays. I was immediately amazed by the richness of the culture in Asia and the friendliness of the people. When I went home to Germany, I definitely wanted to return to Asia, and I came here to work in 2005.” It was while managing Biscotti Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok in 2008 that he met his future wife. “My connection with Asia is now definitely sealed!”
Most recently the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, Jan-Peer was excited to come to Bali and join the pre-opening team for this prestigious new restaurant.
Sundara Restaurant is a spectacular Balinese-inspired destination right on the beach at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, showing off spectacular ocean views. Featuring an eclectic international menu, this all-day venue offers casual lunches with shared plates of sushi, salads and wood-fired pizzas, while in the evening, it transforms into one of Bali’s most sophisticated dining experiences.
As General Manager of the restaurant, Jan-Peer is responsible for the entire operation, from detailed staff training and ensuring guests needs are met to menu selections, working closely with Executive Chef Greg Bunt.
