Jochem-Jan SleifferHilton Worldwide today announced the promotion of Jochem-Jan Sleiffer to area vice president, Northern & Central Europe. With a career history spanning more than 20 years at the company, most recently as country general manager for France, Sleiffer will now gain responsibility for the operation of the company’s owned, managed and leased hotels within Northern & Central Europe. Sleiffer will oversee more than 20 hotels across five countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden. With a strong multi-brand proposition, Northern & Central Europe has four Hilton Worldwide brands in operation - the flagship, upscale Hilton Hotels & Resorts along with focused service Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton. The highly-anticipated, recently-opened Waldorf Astoria Berlin is the first of Hilton Worldwide’s luxury brands to enter the region. In his new role, Sleiffer will also join the European Executive Committee for Hilton Worldwide and report directly to Simon Vincent, President, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide. He will be based at Hilton Worldwide’s Northern & Central regional office located in Frankfurt. Having begun his career as a steward at Hilton Amsterdam in 1990, Sleiffer has since gone on to manage 14 hotels during 22 years of distinguished service with Hilton Worldwide. During this time he has also garnered significant international experience, taking on roles in France, Belgium, Greece and the UK as well as his native The Netherlands. His most recent role saw him in charge of Hilton Worldwide’s seven-strong French portfolio.
