Peter GrillsPrior to being named general manager, Grills served as hotel manager at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge. In this position, he was responsible for all room and food and beverage operations, including guest reception, housekeeping, Gallery Restaurant, as well as the other culinary outlets, including kitchen, banquets and in-room dining. He joined The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge as director of food & beverage. Before joining Bissell Hotels, Peter managed the food and beverage operations for Bank of America in Charlotte. In addition, he served previously as director of operations at Cornerstone Management and Consulting. In this position, he was responsible for marketing, sales and operations of restaurants and hotels, including one sixtyblue, Michael Jordans Steakhouses in Connecticut and Washington, DC, and W Hotels in Chicago and Mexico City. Earlier in his career, Grills was regional manager for Mortons and opened the Uptown Charlotte location. While at Mortons, he significantly increased sales and oversaw the most profitable region in the company for two consecutive years. A native of Mystic, Connecticut, Grills is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He and his family currently reside in Charlotte, NC. Grills serves as vice chair on the NC Restaurant & Lodging Association Charlotte Chapters Board of Directors.
