Mike Egan has been promoted Regional Vice President of Sales at True North Hotel Group
Lew Wiens, chairman and CEO of True North Hotel Group, today announced the promotion of Mike Egan to regional vice president of sales. Egan, a longtime leader in the northeastern hospitality community, started 18 years ago as manager and owner of multiple country clubs in Rhode Island and Maine. In three years, he built a successful golf, meetings and event business at the clubs, sold his interest, and transitioned to the hotel industry. Prior to joining True North Hotel Group in January 2007, Egan served as vice president of sales for the Central Massachusetts Convention and Visitors Bureau. Egan has served in a variety of leadership positions throughout his hospitality career, including vice president of sales for the 32-property Holiday Inn Association of New England; chairman of the Central Massachusetts Hotel Association; and secretary of the New England Society of Convention and Visitors Bureaus. He donates his time speaking on hospitality topics at Quinsigamond Community College and through his hands-on involvement with both the Massachusetts Cookie Drop Coalition and Rhode Island Bone Marrow Donor program.
