Andre ErasmusAndre Erasmus has been appointed General Manager of Six Senses’ first property to be developed in China – Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain. Scheduled to open in early 2014, the stunning property is located at the picturesque gateway to the majestic Qing Cheng Mountains and has been created to complement the UNESCO World Heritage & Natural Cultural site nearby Dujiangyan. Bringing a wealth of diverse experience to the role, together with a proven track record of successful openings, Andre Erasmus joins Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain following almost three years as general manager of the much awarded Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort and Spa, for which he also held the role of pre opening manager. Previously, he was General Manager for two other Anantara properties, the Harbour View Hotel in Haiphong Vietnam and Desert Islands Resort and Spa in Abu Dhabi. The spectrum of destinations in which Andre has worked includes Namibia, Jordan, Dar es Salam, Zanzibar, Tanzania and several game lodges in South Africa and Botswana. A South Africa national, Andre holds a Certification in Hospitality Business Acumen (CHBA) from ECornell, Cornell University; and a Hotel management Diploma from The International Hotel School, Durban South Africa. He is currently completing a Master of Business Administration in International Hospitality and Service Industries Management (MBA) from the Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland. At Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain, Andre Erasmus has the role to lead his team to bring this unique property to realisation.
