InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto welcomes the appointment of Blair Roxborough as the new General Manager. Adding to his role as Area General Manager (Victoria and South Australia) with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the new position will see Roxborough working to strengthen the hotel’s relationships on both a local and global scale. Working with the existing team he will continue to develop the already excellent guest experience and service delivery which the InterContinental brand is known for globally, as well as building on the hotel’s eminent reputation as a Melbourne icon. Roxborough is a valuable addition to the team with over 27 years of experience within IHG. He brings with him incisive industry knowledge to take the award-winning five star property to new heights and further cement it as one of Australia’s leading business and leisure hotels. Past experience includes General Manager of Parkroyal Perth and Crowne Plaza Christchurch, as well as IHG’s Area General Manager of New Zealand’s South Island, a role which saw him guide his team through Christchurch’s devastating 2011 natural disaster, supporting not only hotel employees but the greater affected community.
