Kathie GilesPrior to joining the Destination Hotels & Resorts team, Giles held tenure at Marriott International, where she served as Senior Account Executive/Global Sales for the Southwest region since 2011. In representing all large group hotels and resorts within the Marriott portfolio, Giles consistently surpassed goals year-over-year through account production, outbound PACE and extended stay business. From 2008 to 2011, Giles worked as the Senior Account Executive/Global Sales for the Midwest region with Marriott, where she acted as liaison between 117 hotels in a 10-state region and was dedicated to accounts producing year-over-year revenue increases of up to 200%. Giles also served as the Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Marriott International from 2006 through 2008, where she led all sales efforts with local, regional and global accounts and regularly ranked #1 in STAR reporting for all nine properties in AD, RevPAR, and occupancy reaching RevPAR indexes of over 179%, quarter-over-quarter. Between 1990 and 2006, Giles held various sales positions with Rupson Hospitality in New York, Courtyard by Marriott in Danbury, CT, Visalia Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Holiday Inn and Conference Center in Visalia, California and DoubleTree Resort & Spa in Los Angeles, California.
