Sarat ValsrajWith over 17 years of hospitality experience, Mr. Valsraj brings with him keen managerial and strategic insights and learning that he seeks to implement in his new role at Zuri. An advantage he believes he has gained from the hands-on experience of rising up the ranks through many fruitful years of holding various responsibilities across different hotels and regions. Mr. Valsraj joined The Zuri Hotels & Resorts as the Food and Beverage Manager in the year 2008, while the Kumarakom property was still managed as The Radisson Plaza Resort and Spa, Kumarakom. Over time, he had made steady progress, holding many different positions and rising to become the Resident Manager by 2013. He has worked at all properties of The Zuri Hotels & Resorts, both domestic and international, and has played an instrumental part in the group’s critical rebranding exercise. Mr. Valsraj graduated with a Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from the Rizvi College of Hotel Management & Catering, Mumbai, immediately after which he started his career at The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai. Following a 11 year stint at The Leela, Mr. Valsraj moved to The Sahara Star Mumbai where he was part of the pre-opening team responsible for the launch of the group’s new venture. Mr. Valsraj is also certified in Strategic Management from the reputed Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and holds a certificate in International Trade from the Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning.
