Jon Burckin has been appointed Director of Business Development at HRI Hospitality
Before joining HRI Lodging, Burckin was the managing director of business development for Access Point Financial, a direct hospitality lending and advisory platform based in Atlanta. In that role, he managed relationships with major hospitality brands, hotel operators and owners. He also originated and structured lending opportunities on new construction, redevelopment and repositioning of hotel assets across the United States.
Burckin previously worked 17 years for Scotiabank, Canada’s third largest bank, where he most recently managed the firm’s relationships in the hospitality industry from the New York office. He also worked on Scotiabank’s corporate banking operations in San Francisco and global risk management in Toronto.
Burckin received a degree in economics from the University of California-San Diego and an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
