Bernard de VilleleDe Villèle is widely recognized as a successful hotelier and entrepreneur within the luxury hospitality industry. Prior to joining The St. Regis Mexico City, de Villèle served as general manager of The St. Regis Mauritius Resort, where he oversaw the hotel's opening in 2011. Under his leadership, the hotel was awarded Hideaways Hotel of the Year in 2012 and Condé Nast Traveler's Hot List in 2013, among others. Beginning with a degree in Hotel Management from the world-renowned École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, de Villèle's celebrated career crosses multiple continents with tenures in award-winning properties and senior management and executive roles for St. Regis, Four Seasons, Hilton, InterContinental, Orient Express Hotels, Rosewood Hotels, Savoy Group and TAJ Hotels, where he served as vice president of operations for Europe and the Americas. His vast experience also includes serving as Lebanon area general manager for Habtoor Hotels, leading the opening of The Lanesborough Hotel, major renovations of the legendary Resort La Samanna with Orient Express Hotels and the establishment of 51 Buckingham Gate, TAJ Suites & Residences. He has also been awarded numerous accolades for his accomplishments, including being named one of the finest hoteliers worldwide by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences in 2003. De Villèle is the son a French diplomat and spent his childhood in Mexico. He speaks French, English Spanish and has a good notion of Italian and German.
