Promoted General Manager

Leading boutique hotelier Alila Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of Hemal Jain
to the position of General Manager at Alila Bangalore, effective immediately. Hemal first
joined the Alila Hotels & Resorts family in 2009 as a Front Office Manager. He has been part
of the team at Alila Bangalore since mid-2010 when he joined the hotel as Front Office
Manager before progressing to Director of Sales and Marketing, his most recent position.
Alongside his extensive understanding of operations at Alila Bangalore, Hemal will bring a
broad range of experience to his new role having worked with some of the world’s most
recognised hospitality brands. After graduating with a degree in Hotel and Hospitality
Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management Lucknow, India in 2005, Hemal started
his career as a Front Office Assistant. He then went on to hold various positions with Park
Hyatt, Four Seasons, Hilton and Oberoi across India.
In his first General Manager role, Hemal will be tasked with overseeing the general day-to-
day operations of Alila Bangalore, managing 101 rooms plus a collection of long-stay suites
and residences, a spa and wellness centre, and three restaurants.
