He used to be a bellboy, but today Clement Paul is in-charge of and is responsible for managing all departments including front office, security, engineering and housekeeping at Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur.
Back in 1988, Clement Paul plunged into hospitality and left Ipoh, his hometown to join Hyatt regency Saujana, Johor Bharu as a bellman and continued climbing the corporate ladder for fourteen years before being the Front Office Manager of the hotel.
Paul then decided to shift from a city hotel to a resort in Penang, Shangri-la Rasa Sayang also as Front Office Manager. In 2003, major renovation in Andaman, Langkawi saw Paul take on the role of Room Division Manager at the hotel.
After stepping down from acting Resort Manager of Pelangi Resort in June 2013, he returned to Malaysia's capital city to lead the team of Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur City Centre as the Executive Assistant Manager and was recently promoted to Hotel Manager.
