David BonnetteLanyon, the leader in global meetings, events, and hospitality technology, announced the appointment of David Bonnette, formerly the CEO of BigMachines, as its Chief Executive Officer. Bonnette is joining the company shortly after the merger completion of ACTIVE Network™ Business Solutions and Lanyon, both portfolio companies of Vista Equity Partners, a leading private equity firm focused on long-term value-added investments in software and technology-enabled services. David has a deep relationship with Vista Equity Partners, as BigMachines previously was a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company, recently acquired by Oracle. In addition to serving as Lanyon’s Chief Executive Officer, Bonnette will sit on the Company’s Board of Directors.Prior to joining Lanyon, David served as CEO at BigMachines. Before joining BigMachines, he held several executive roles at Oracle, where he led North American organizations in ERP, CRM, and consulting. Bonnette has worked in the software industry for nearly 20 years, having served on the boards of BigMachines and Brainware (acquired by Lexmark).
