Deric EubanksAshford Hospitality Prime, Inc. today announced that David Kimichik, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, will retire on June 13, 2014, following a career spanning over 32 years with the Company and its predecessor. Deric Eubanks, currently the Company's Senior Vice President of Finance, will succeed David as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer reporting to Ashford Prime Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Monty J. Bennett. Mr. Kimichik will transition his responsibilities to Mr. Eubanks over the next month allowing for a seamless transition and will continue to be available to the Company as needed over the next several months. Mr. Eubanks is currently the Senior Vice President of Finance of Ashford Hospitality Advisors and serves as the Senior Vice President of finance of both Ashford Hospitality Trust and Ashford Hospitality Prime. In this role, he is responsible for assisting the CEO and CFO with all corporate finance and financial reporting initiatives and capital market activities including equity raises and debt financings. He also oversees the Investor Relations function and is responsible for supervision and executing the Company's hedging strategies. Prior to his present role, Mr. Eubanks was Vice President of Investments and was responsible for sourcing and underwriting hotel investments including direct equity investments, joint venture equity, preferred equity, mezzanine loans, first mortgages, B-notes, construction loans, and other debt securities. Before joining Ashford Trust, Mr. Eubanks was a Manager of Financial Analysis for ClubCorp, where he assisted in underwriting and analyzing investment opportunities in the golf and resort industries. Mr. Eubanks earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University and is a CFA charterholder.
