Thomas HagemannThomas begins his new role with immediate effect, and is based in the Singapore office reporting to Thorsten Kirschke, President for Asia Pacific. In his new role, Thomas will be responsible for the success of Carlson Rezidor’s new hotel openings in Asia Pacific. “Thomas brings vast experience in operational excellence to Carlson Rezidor, who has built his career in senior roles on-property and at corporate level,” said Thorsten Kirschke, president, Asia Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. “With a healthy pipeline of 94 hotels opening in the next five years in Asia Pacific, his skills will be a great boost to our operational resources and optimize our launch to market approach, ultimately maximizing value for our stakeholders.” Prior to coming to Asia, he was the District Director responsible for five hotels in Sochi and also held the role of General Manager for Radisson Blu Resort and Congress Centre, Sochi, the host hotel of the Winter Olympics Games. Thomas was formerly the Vice President, Future Openings at the Rezidor Hotel Group, based in Brussels. Over the seven years in this role, he was involved in opening more than 200 hotels in Russia and CIS, Europe, Middle East and Africa. These included destinations such as Cairo, Dubai, Johannesburg as well as Astana in Kazakhstan, Bamako in Maili and Lagos in Nigeria. Thomas started his hospitality career in food and beverage, earning over 14 years of experience in hotels across Europe and Middle East, through roles such as Director of Operations, Executive Assistant Manager and General Manager.
