Mark LauerMost recently Lauer was the general manager at the Hilton New York Midtown. Throughout his 30-plus year career, which started in Chicago at the Downtown Marriott, Lauer has held a number of leadership roles, including hotel manager at The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. From Salt Lake City to San Francisco, Seattle and Omaha, Lauer has a proven track record and a wealth of experience that he brings with him to the Windy City property. Lauer received his degree from Loyola University in Chicago. His passion for the industry is evident by the long list of organizations which he lent his time and expertise to throughout his career. He was an active board member for the Hotel Association of New York City, Avenue of the Americas Association, and served as an adjunct professor at the Tisch School of Hospitality at NYU. Lauer also sat on the board of directors for the Historical Hotels of America, Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska Hotel/Motel Association.
