Rick GeorgeHotel Assets Group, LLC (Hotel AG), announced today that Rick George has joined the firm and will open the Hotel AG Chicago office. A graduate of Cornell University, Rick joined HREC Investment Advisors (HREC IA) in 2003 as a principal owner and partner in charge of the Chicago and Los Angeles offices. During his tenure at HREC IA, Rick helped build and train the human capital infrastructure of the firm, while focusing on transactions from the lower to the upper mid-market segments, as well as capital markets production and debt placement. In addition to revenue production, Rick was also responsible for the macro management of the HREC IA brand, national client marketing efforts, technology, and personnel management in the field. Rick has closed 150 +/- hotel transactions and financings while a principal with HREC IA representing over $1 billion in transactions and debt financing volume that encompass all segments of the hospitality marketplace. In 2011, Rick left the hospitality industry after 20 years to focus on his personal life. It was during this period that he was able to focus on some of the charitable initiatives he felt drawn toward including work with the American Red Cross. Due to fallout from the economic crisis and in conjunction with former colleagues from the hotel industry, Rick began working in a property management role within the multi-family segment. As a result, Rick formed Field Asset Service Team, aka F.A.S.T., which currently manages approximately 300 single and multi-family residential units throughout Chicago. Earlier in Rick's career he held senior positions at Intercontinental Hotels (IHG) as the Director of Franchise Sales and Development for the West North Central region of the U.S., and Wyndham Hotels as the Regional Vice President of Franchise Sales.
