Chris EigelaarAs Resident Manager, Chris will work closely with Mike Magrane, General Manager at The Midland, to secure The Midland’s position as the best hotel in the UK for overall service and guest experience. Alongside day-to-day management of the property, Chris will seek to ensure high-levels of guest satisfaction are maintained, whilst looking after the hotel team. Chris is hugely passionate about our city, and his knowledge of different cultures will be a great asset in terms of understanding what our guests’ need. He is very much aware of how we operate at The Midland and the reputation we have to live up to every day, but he certainly has the enthusiasm and expertise to ensure it is upheld.” Chris has over 16 years’ of experience in the hospitality industry, including two years as Operations Manager and 2 years as Director of Operations at Doubletree by Hilton in Manchester. He studied at Hotel Management School in Cape Town before moving to the UK in 2002 to be part of the team that opened Sofitel St James in London, he also spent part of his career at Restaurant Associates where he managed hotel food & beverage contracts, before joining The Midland, and the QHotels group, in June this year.
