Patrick MullinixWhen Patrick Mullinix joined Vantage Hospitality in 2002 as Senior Director of Membership, Americas Best Value Inn had just under 200 properties. By 2007, there were over 700 properties throughout North America and Mullinix and his development team had put Americas Best Value Inn on the map as the fastest-growing hotel company in the world. Since then, Mullinix has moved into several executive roles, most recently as Executive Vice President of Development. But when Vantage Hospitality entered into an agreement to acquire America’s Best Franchising’s (ABF) brands in July of this year, it created the perfect opportunity for Mullinix to take the development reigns of Vantage’s expanded line of economy and limited-service brands. As the new Group President of Vantage’s Value Brands, Mullinix will oversee the development and stratification of Signature Inn, America’s Best Inns & Suites, Americas Best Value Inn and Country Hearth Inns & Suites. These offerings will be differentiated by price point, technology, location and the amenities and services offered. ast month, Vantage announced the addition of Mark Williams, the new Group President of Vantage’s Midscale and Upscale Brands. Williams leads the domestic development and stratification of Lexington Inns, Lexington Hotels, Lexington Legacy, Jameson Inns & Suites, and 3 Palms Hotels & Resorts. On the international front, Bill Hanley is now the Group President of International Development and will continue the steady expansion Vantage has made in Canada, South Korea, China, India and Indonesia.
