Clément Gohin Absolute Resorts & Hotels, the resorts and hospitality division of the award-winning Absolute World Group, recently appointed Clément Gohin as Food & Beverage Manager for the Group’s Thailand operations. Based at the Phuket headquarters, Clément will oversee all F&B operations across the Group’s Phuket hospitality portfolio including Absolute Bangla Suites, Absolute Nakalay Boutique Resort, the Absolute Twin Sands Resort & Spa, and Absolute Sea Pearl Beach Resort. With a strong background in hospitality specialising in the management of resort and stand alone destination dining outlets, Clément has extensive hospitality experience working in Europe and has a keen interest in Thailand having previously worked at the famous Blue Elephant Bangkok. Following a stint as Assistant Manager there, Clément moved back to Europe though his love of Asia and Thai cuisine never left as Clément’s most recent position was as General Manager (Restaurants) at Blue Elephant Brussels in Belgium. With an MBA in Hospitality Management from the esteemed Ecole de Savignac in France, and a diverse and extensive experience in leading restaurant and resort teams, Clément’s skills and practical hands-on approach makes him a key member of the Absolute Resorts & Hotels hospitality team as the Group drives forward with its expansion and new additions to its hospitality portfolio. Clément, a former aquatics National Champion of France, is dedicated and driven. With an interest in good quality food and drink he understands what it takes to succeed at the highest level, attributes that fit well within the forward thinking Absolute World Group. Absolute Resorts & Hotels currently operate four resorts in Thailand with a further 151 rooms to be added in Phuket and Samui over the next two years, including the Group’s first self-managed boutique Design HotelsTM resort in Samui, The Beach Samui, which will see a dining concept quite unique to the resort site in the unspoiled south of the Island.
