David Obstler has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at TravelClick, Inc.
TravelClick, a global provider of innovative cloud-based solutions that enable hotels to grow revenue, announced today the appointment of David Obstler as its Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Most recently, Mr. Obstler was Chief Financial Officer at OpenLink Financial, a global leader in Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) software for the commodity, energy and financial services industries with revenues of more than$300 million. Prior to that, Mr. Obstler was Chief Financial Officer of MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of investment decision support tools. Mr. Obstler assumed the role after MSCI acquired Risk Metrics in June 2010, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Under his guidance, Mr. Obstler coordinated the financial integration of MSCI Inc. and Risk Metrics, consolidated and strengthened the combined 165-person global finance team and helped the company achieve targeted cost synergies. During his tenure at Risk Metrics group, Mr. Obstler was integral in shaping the company's business and financial growth strategy. He was also responsible for broadening the capabilities of the finance department to support the company's expansion, its integration of several acquisitions and to prepare for its IPO and ultimate sale to MSCI Inc.
