Larry MagorMost recently, Magor served as general manager of the Omni Dallas, where under his leadership, the luxury hotel garnered numerous accolades included Association Conventions & Facilities 2013 “Distinctive Achievement Award,” Corporate & Incentive Travel’s 2013 “Award of Excellence,” two coveted Gold Key awards from Meetings & Conventions Magazine and more. Prior to joining the Omni Dallas, Magor spent three years at the Omni Mount Washington Resort, where during his first year at the resort, he earned the distinction of “General Manager of the Year” from Omni Hotels & Resorts in 2010. Magor joined the Omni Mount Washington Resort following a five-year term in the tropics as managing director of Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. and Wyndham Bermuda Resort & Spa. At Wyndham Bermuda, he oversaw a reopening with new ownership and prepared for expansion into fractional ownership and timeshare development. Previously, Magor managed resorts up and down the eastern seaboard; including seven years with Interstate Hotels where he was general manager at five distinctive hotels including The Latham Hotel and The Georgetown Inn in Washington, DC; Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre in Toronto, Canada; and The Nantucket Properties, a multi-unit facility with three hotels and the Nantucket Boat Basin, one of the largest marinas on the East Coast. Magor also enjoyed a successful term with the Lodge and Beach Club at Ponte Vedra Beach, named one of the leading new resorts in the U.S. by Condé Nast Traveler during his tenure. Magor has held senior management positions at the Ritz Carlton Chicago, Grosvenor House in London, Swissotel Boston, and the Breakers in Palm Beach. An active and involved hospitality professional, Magor has served on the boards of numerous regional organizations including the Bermuda Hotel Association, Florida Hotel/Motel Association, Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Virgin Island Hotel and Tourism Association and the Dallas CVB. He is a member of the AHLA Resort Committee, SKAL International and Chaine des Rotisseurs. Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Magor studied at Douai, a leading public school in the UK and Montgomery College in Washington DC, where he focused on hospitality management. He counts his wife Zorina, son Jonathan and his new granddaughter among his greatest joys, and looks forwards to pursuing his passions of golf, motorcycles, wellness and travel, from his new home base in Southern California.
