Matt BaileyBen Rafter, president and CEO of Hawaii-based Aqua Hospitality LLC and president of Aston Hotels & Resorts, has stepped down and will be replaced by current Chief Operating Officer Matt Bailey. It has been nearly a year since Aston Hotels owner Vacation Holdings Hawaii, a subsidiary of Miami-based Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), acquired Honolulu-based Aqua Hospitality. Rafter, who had been president and CEO of Aqua since 2008, added the title of president of Aston in April. Both the Aqua and Aston brands combined make Vacation Holdings Hawaii the largest operator in Hawaii with 58 hotels and resorts on six Hawaiian Islands, Guam and the U.S. Mainland. It recently assumed management of two resorts in the Poconos Mountains region of Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania.
