Mario Busquets Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants warmly welcomes Mario Busquets to its dynamic sales force. As the newly appointed Director of Sales for all New York City Kimpton hotels, Busquets brings a fresh and tactical approach to the position, which includes oversight of all sales activity for the Eventi, Ink48, 70 Park Avenue and The Muse. Busquets is based out of The Muse hotel and will lead strategic direction, management and top-line revenues for the four properties. He will also be responsible for the business development of groups, banquets and city-wide conferences in both domestic and international markets. Before joining the Kimpton family, Busquets spent more than 20 years in the hospitality industry both in the U.S. and abroad. Previously, Busquets worked at the W New York as an Account Director and most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing. He has also served as Senior Sales Manager and Guest Services Manager for Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers from 1998-to-2006. Busquets received his Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management and Administration at the Escola Superior D’Hosteleria de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. When he isn’t at The Muse, you’ll find Busquets enjoying cultural and culinary offerings in NYC and playing soccer, tennis and running.
