Luis Echezabal has been appointed Director of International Sales at Turnberry Isle Miami
Prior to joining Turnberry Isle Miami, Echezabal was the Director of Latin America Sales at Atlantis, Paradise Island, the largest resort in the Caribbean. He was also the Director of International Sales for Marriott International for over eight years and was responsible for the sales efforts at five iconic properties in South Florida including both JW Marriott Hotels and the Marriott properties in the Dadeland area. Recognized as a strong leader, Echezabal was nominated as ‘Manager of the Quarter’ and ‘Manager of the Year’ in 2004 and 2005 by Marriott International. Echezabal launched his career working with Carnival Cruise Lines, the largest cruise company in the world for over 15 years. At Carnival he held various leadership roles including International Business Development Director, International Product Manager and International Reservations Manager. A native of South Florida, Echezabal majored in Political Science at Miami Dade College and continued his hospitality training at Johnson & Wales University with the “Coaching the Champions” management program developed by Carnival Cruise Lines and the University. Echezabal lives in Miami and in his free time enjoys spending time with his family and friends and discovering the local food scene in Miami.
