Shirley Dunn-HanksIn this integral new role, Dunn-Hanks will oversee sales in the western U.S. for the leisure and travel industry segments, with a focus on expanding the company’s reach and exposure in key metropolitan markets, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas and Houston. She will be based in the company’s new Dallas national sales office. Dunn-Hanks joins Auberge Resorts Collection from Capella Pedregal Resort and Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she served as director of sales and marketing with achievements including positioning the property as one of the best in the region, she also created an annual food and wine festival that provided exposure to the hotel and region of Los Cabos. Prior to Capella, Dunn-Hanks opened The Joule Hotel in Dallas, where she trained and developed a team as director of sales and marketing before being promoted to general manager just three months after opening. Her previous luxury hospitality sales experience includes The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas (now Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek), as director of marketing and regional director of sales and marketing. Previously, Dunn-Hanks held the position of regional director of sales and marketing for four years at Omni Hotels & Resorts where she oversaw marketing and sales efforts for 14 hotels in the region. Dunn-Hanks is an alumna of University of Houston where she studied hospitality management.
