Claudia EggspuhlerRockbridge and Crescent Hotels & Resorts are proud to announce Claudia Eggspuhler as General Manager of the downtown Dallas hotel, The Adolphus, a Rockbridge Portfolio property. In this role, Eggspuhler will be responsible for the hotel’s day-to-day success, overseeing all operational aspects of the 23-story property, including everything from sales and marketing, to food and beverage, while achieving key business goals for this Lone Star landmark. The Adolphus welcomes Claudia Eggspuhler – as the first woman in the hotel’s celebrated history to be named General Manager – from her position as complex general manager at Westin and Sheraton Reston, Va., where she led a record-setting RevPAR performance during her two-year stint, in addition to heightening service scores to the top three in North America. Prior to Westin and Sheraton, Eggspuhler achieved general manager certification with Starwood, Marriott and Hilton, holding numerous other management positions at 100-500 room properties throughout the continental U.S. including the Liaison Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.; Affinia Chicago and Sheraton Chicago Northwest; Marriott Hunt Valley, Md.; Sheraton Danbury, Conn.; Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk, Fla. and more. Often referred to as the “Grande Dame of Downtown Dallas,” this baroque masterpiece has been a legend among America’s historic hotels since 1912, when beer baron Adolphus Busch was approached by Dallas city founders to erect a luxury palace worthy of the Lone Star State. Style, elegance and swagger blend together in 23 stories of unabashed beaux-arts splendor that architectural critics named “the most beautiful building west of Venice.” Throughout its history, luminaries such as Queen Elizabeth II, the Vanderbilts, Oscar de la Renta, Donald Trump, U2 and Babe Ruth have chosen The Adolphus as their Dallas home-away-from-home.
