Appointed General Manager
At Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Michael LeeFrasers Hospitality Pte Ltd (Frasers Hospitality), one of the world’s leading premier serviced and hotel residences has appointed Mr. Michael Lee as its new General Manager for its third and largest property in Kuala Lumpur, Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur. Lee brings with him a wealth of experience within the hospitality industry over the past 20 years having held leadership positions at Hotel Equatorial in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Hotel Radisson Unigraha Sumatera in Indonesia, Sunway Hotel in Shenzhen China and Pan Pacific Legacy Hotel in Malacca, Malaysia amongst others. Prior to joining Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur, Lee was General Manager of Asta Hotel in Shenzhen and Zhuhai, China, overseeing both hotel properties under the group’s flagship in the South China region. Lee started his 5-year hotel career with Concorde Hotel Singapore in 1990, during which he also graduated with a Diploma in Hotel Accommodation Management from The Singapore Hotel Association Training and Educational College (SHATEC) in 1993. In 1995, he earned a Certificate in Cabin in Flight Service, gaining a holistic background in hospitality as a Flight Steward in Singapore Airlines for 2 years before fully immersing himself in the hotel line. In 2008, Lee received his certification as an Internal Auditor in Quality Management System ISO 9002, from the much lauded consultancy and training organization in Nevilla-Clarke, Jakarta Indonesia.

31 January 2019 — Chris McLaughlin has joined Malmaison Belfast as GMm, and joined the brand from Hasting Culloden Estate and Spa in Northern Ireland, where he was deputy GM. Prior to this he held a number of roles within the New Zealand hospitality industry, including as general manager and head chef.

31 January 2019 — Antonio Sanchez has been promoted to GM of Malmaison Cheltenham, having previously held the position of deputy GM at Malmaison Oxford, a role he held for a year.

Scott Harper - Chief Operating Officer (COO)

18 May 2018 — The chief operating officer at Malmaison has stepped up to take on the same role with Hotel du Vin, following the departure of Nick Halliday earlier this month. Scott Harper will now become COO across both brands, reporting to Guus Bakker, CEO of Malmaison Hotel du Vin and CEO EMEA of parent company Frasers Hospitality UK.
