Peter YapFASTBOOKING, an Asian-bred company that enables more than 2.000 hotels across Asia to improve their profitability, is expanding its footprint in Thailand. The company has appointed Peter Yap, a long-serving industry executive, as Country Director and will invest to bolster its customer service team and improve technology to underscore its business proposition in this country. Thailand is a key market for the company, where it has been serving customers[1] for at least a decade. With a reputation for strong leadership in this industry sector, one of Mr. Yap’s first objectives will be to strengthen the customer-facing team in Bangkok in order to support the growth of FASTBOOKING. My intention is to first develop close working relationships with our existing partners, ensuring that they maximise their opportunities to profitably grow their business with direct sales. I am also recruiting talented people to enhance our customer service team.” Mr. Yap’s career in sales and online distribution for the hospitality industry well qualifies him for the role. He recently headed up the regional sales efforts in Asia for Revinate and before that led operations in Asia for Cox and Kings. He has also managed key accounts and the sales efforts for Pegasus Solutions. Before he moved into online distribution, Mr. Yap worked in hotels for Millennium & Copthorne and the Regent Singapore.
