Jannes SoerensenThe Beaumont - the first hotel to be created by renowned restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King - has appointed Jannes Soerensen as general manager. He replaces Paul Brackley, who left the Mayfair property in October after three years, during which time he oversaw the hotel’s launch in September 2014. A German national and multi-linguist, Soerensen joins the 73-bedroom Beaumont from Le Bristol in Paris, where he was director of rooms and a member of the executive planning committee. After kick-starting his career in his native Berlin, he went on to work at some of the world’s most prestigious five-star hotels, including the Kempinski Hotel Adlon, Berlin; the Plaza hotel, New York; and the Four Seasons George V, Paris. The move to the Beaumont marks a return to London for Soerensen, who was director of rooms at the Connaught before joining Le Bristol. During his time at the Connaught, he completed a master certificate in the Essentials of Hospitality Management at Cornell University, New York.
