Amber VoelkerAssociated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has promoted Amber Voelker to Regional Vice President of Sales for the U.S. West Region. In her new position she is responsible for leading ALHI’s Global Sales team of 12 Global Sales professionals in the West region of the U.S., in serving meeting professionals, association executives, incentive travel specialists, business executives and convention specialists with ALHI’s Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and support for its distinctive portfolio of more than 250 luxury-level hotels and resorts worldwide and more. Voelker joined ALHI last year as Regional Director of Sales before her internal promotion, and is based in ALHI’s Global Sales office in Los Angeles, California. She reports to ALHI Division Vice President Chris Riccardi, who was ALHI’s first Regional Vice President for the West, since 2003. The announcement of her appointment was made jointly by Riccardi and ALHI President Jim Schultenover. Prior to her promotion, Voelker served as Regional Director of Sales for ALHI’s West Region. She joined ALHI in early 2015 from the elegant The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, California, which is a long-time ALHI Member hotel, where she served that hotel for almost 12 years including the most recent four years as the Director of Group Sales. Prior to that, she was Senior Group Sales Manager, and served for five years in Sales (two of which were as Group Sales Manager) for The Ritz-Carlton, Huntington Hotel & Spa before it was converted to The Langham Huntington. Previous to that she was the Director of Sales for the Hollywood Hotel. She is a graduate of California State University-Northridge, and an active member of the MPI Southern California Chapter.
