Appointed Director of Food & Beverage
At Esperanza, An Auberge Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Octavio MuñozEsperanza, An Auberge Resort, the award-winning Relais & Châteaux property overlooking the Sea of Cortez in Cabo San Lucas, today announced the appointment of Guillermo Gomez as Executive Chef and Octavio Muñoz as Director of Food and Beverage as part of the resort’s continued efforts to create dynamic dining experiences for guests. Gomez will oversee the culinary direction of the resort’s six restaurants, including the acclaimed Cocina del Mar and new Pesca Ceviche Bar, and Muñoz will be responsible for managing the food and beverage operations throughout the resort. Muñoz brings more than a decade of experience at luxury hotels to Esperanza. He previously served in food & beverage leadership roles at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in San Miguel de Allende and Mayakoba, Hilton Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and Four Seasons Resort in Costa Rica. Muñoz’ education and certification began at Centro Universitario México, and continued at the Waldorf School, CESSA Universidad and Cornell University.

Previously, he held sales and marketing leadership positions at prominent hotels and resorts, including W Dallas - Victory Hotel & Residences and W Minneapolis - The Foshay & Le Meridien Chambers.

Logan Miller - General Manager

6 December 2019 — Born and raised in Fiji, Miller received a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Blue Mountains Hotel School in Sydney, Australia. After graduation, he began a one-year intensive Manager In Training program at Four Seasons Sydney, where he learned all aspects of food and beverage operations management before working full-time at the property.
