Appointed Head of Sales
At Tune Hotels in London, United Kingdom

Gareth EvansMalaysian-based budget brand Tune Hotels has appointed Gareth Evans as head of sales to oversee the group’s UK portfolio. Evans joins with more than 10 years’ industry experience, having previously held the position of senior sales manager with Apex Hotels. He has also worked for Swissôtel the Howard (now closed), Montcalm hotels and Morgans Hotel Group. In his new role he will be responsible for increasing occupancy levels across Tune hotels, with a particular focus on the corporate market. Tune Hotels has eight hotels in the UK including five in London, one in Edinburgh, one in Newcastle and one in Liverpool. In October 2014 the group announced plans to open at least 25 hotels in the UK in the run-up to 2019, representing a £200m investment.

Previously having worked at Redefine BDL Hotels group, Philip started his career as a front desk receptionist and has worked his way up to the positions of supervisor, food and beverages supervisor, operations manager, and to his current position of General Manager, with Tune Hotels.
