Kyle FaulknerPlaya Largo Resort & Spa, the newest addition to Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, is proud to announce the appointment of Kyle Faulkner as National Sales Manager for the resort, set to open in summer 2016. In his new role, Faulkner will be responsible for generating business from targeted market segments in an assigned personal territory, increasing profitable revenue, analyzing trends to create successful selling strategies, developing relationships with corporate accounts and planning, negotiating, booking and coordinating group room sales to help meet and exceed the resort’s financial goals. Faulkner, who will be overseeing the Midwest markets of Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis and Kansas City, most recently worked as a Senior Business Development Manager for R.W. Smith & Co., based in San Diego. A South Florida hospitality veteran, Faulkner also worked for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts as a Group & Catering Sales Manager in Miami and as the Sales Manager for Marriott’s South Region Florida Sales Office. In this position, he ensured customers’ needs were being met and exceeded, while maximizing revenue by up-selling the resorts’ golf, spa and other outlets.
