Andrew CoggingsMacdonald Hotels & Resorts has appointed a new regional director to look after four of its 48 hotels, including Compleat Angler in Marlow. Andrew Coggings, a former gastro-pub owner and experienced hotelier, will be regional managing director for the M25 region, looking after Macdonald Frimley Hall Hotel & Spa in Camberley, Macdonald Compleat Angler in Marlow, Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa in Ascot and Macdonald Windsor hotel. Coggings has enjoyed a 30-year career in the hospitality industry, occupying general manager positions at luxury hotels across the world including the Grand Hotel, Brighton; Brown’s hotel, Mayfair, London; the Beverly Hills Sun InterContinental in South Africa; and the Hilton International in Dubai. He joins Macdonald Hotels after a decade running his own hospitality businesses, Stanford Inns and Kitchenware Restaurants, in Brighton between 2006 and 2016. His three establishments enjoyed a joint turnover in excess of £2m and his pub, the Preston Park Tavern, won the “Most Sustainable Pub of the Year, 2013” award from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
