Erwin Rachim has been appointed Chief Concierge at St. Regis Abu Dhabi
St. Regis Abu Dhabi has appointed Erwin Rachim as the new chief concierge to the hotel. Rachim, who has more than 16 years of hospitality experience, is a member of Les Clefs d’Or, a prestigious global organisation for hotel concierges. Rachim is one of 39 members of the organisation in the UAE. 10 of Rachim’s 16 years working in hospitality have been spent working in the Middle East. He joins St Regis Abu Dhabi directly from the Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, where Rachim also held the positon of chief concierge. In this role, Rachim won the prestigious "Concierge of the Year" award at the Hotelier Awards 2013. Other previous roles for Rachim include head concierge for the Radisson Blu Abu Dhabi Yas Island (from 2009-2012), and assistant concierge manager for Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai (from 2007-2009). Commenting on his new role at St. Regis Dubai, Rachim said: “It has been a dream of mine to work for St. Regis. I love being able to make someone’s day, make life easier for them, exceed their expectations – it really is my passion.” Rachim holds a rooms division diploma from the Hotel & Tourism Training Academy Makassar in Indonesia, as well as a marketing and promotion diploma from Cambridge International.
