Larry GreenwoodThe Garland announces the appointment of Larry Greenwood to executive chef and Jacob Smith to chef de cuisine, forming an exciting duo to further elevate the San Fernando Valley’s dining scene. A veteran of the hospitality industry, Executive Chef Larry Greenwood has helmed the kitchens of some of Los Angeles’ top restaurants for more than a decade. Alongside Chef De Cuisine Jacob Smith, whose past experience includes training under world-renowned Chef Thomas Keller at Bouchon Bistro in Beverly Hills, Chef Larry will oversee the entirety of the hotel’s culinary efforts, while together they will drive The Front Yard’s approachable, yet elevated menu. With more than 25 years of versatile industry experience, Chef Larry most recently served as multi-unit executive chef at LGO Hospitality, which includes the award-winning La Grande Orange Café and The Luggage Room Pizzeria in Pasadena, Calif. He has headlined and cooked at legendary events including Los Angeles Food & Wine, Sundance Film Festival, Taste of Beverly Hills, LA Dinner Club at West Hollywood’s famed Marco’s Restaurant, and more. Chef Larry has also held the role of executive chef at STK Los Angeles, The Standard Hotel on Sunset Blvd, and he has overseen BOA Steakhouse in both Santa Monica and Hollywood.
