Steve Schlundt A 20-year veteran at CSM Corporation, Steve Schlundt was named president for the company’s lodging and residential divisions. Schlundt, who joined CSM in 1996 as a GM helped launch the lodging division, according to CSM.After beginning as a GM, Schlundt was promoted to regional VP of operations. In 2011, he was promoted to VP of operations for the lodging division, and promoted again in 2014 to SVP of operations. In his most recent role as COO of lodging and residential, he oversaw the portfolio of 32 hotels and 15 apartment communities across the country. He has worked with the CSM team to develop, renovate and open new properties, the company said adding that Schlundt is well-liked and respected by his co-workers. Schlundt will continue to drive growth and bring innovative designs to the company's new-build and renovation projects.Schlundt’s vision for success has kept CSM on the cutting-edge of hotel trends, according to the company. Recently opening a historic renovation project in downtown Phoenix, Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown and developing a dual concept Aloft and Element hotel adjacent to Microsoft’s corporate headquarters. Locally, he oversees the extensive renovations of Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot that include a sixth floor addition, 110 guestrooms and keeping an eye on the building’s historical integrity. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Schlundt is active in many industry organizations. He currently serves as a member of a Marriott Franchise Advisory Council.
