Mark EberweinAs General Manager of W Las Vegas, Eberwein oversees all operational aspects of the property. He brings twenty years of hospitality expertise to his position, which has been honed over the course of his career managing W hotels, with prior positions as General Manager at W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills and Hotel Manager at W San Francisco. Eberwein launched his career as the Sommelier of Rancho Bernardo Inn’s El Bizcocho Restaurant, one of San Diego’s top fine dining establishments, overseeing a wine list of nearly 2,000 selections. He then held the title of Director of Food and Beverage, and Certified Sommelier at The St. Regis Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. Eberwein was later recognized with the prestigious honor of being named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s “Top Sommeliers of 2011.” He has been a key player in the successful opening of the W Los Angeles - West Beverly Hills and in revamping the beverage programs at Starwood hotels during his time on the Starwood Food & Beverage Council. Eberwein is lauded for his managerial vision, team building skills and exceptional ability to create impactful results and guide teams through strategic change towards success.
