Jodi DiSalleExperience Kissimmee, the official tourism authority for Osceola County, Florida, has appointed Jodi DiSalle as Vice President of Communications, starting her new position today. In this role, DiSalle will guide Experience Kissimmee’s overall communication strategy to promote, enhance and protect the organization’s brand reputation; develop and implement a comprehensive public relations plan targeting leisure and group travel markets; and provide guidance and direction to international vendors, specific to media activities and engagement. As a member of the senior leadership team, DiSalle will also contribute to the organization’s strategic planning and topline marketing initiatives. A PR veteran of more than 12 years, DiSalle was most recently Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the 1,416-room Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee. While there, she was responsible for supporting $270 million in annual revenue and secured annual media coverage valued at up to $15 million. Prior to Gaylord, DiSalle was Executive Director of Area Communications for March of Dimes, managing special events, fundraising, communications and board functions for a 28-county region. She also served as Director of Big Ideas for Blue Water Communications, creating and executing major events that attracted international press coverage, and leading rebranding strategies for several clients. DiSalle is active in several local organizations, including the Public Relations Society of America, American Advertising Federation and Orlando Day Nursery Board of Directors. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Bowling Green State University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Full Sail University.
